This view shows Coast Road looking North towards Church Farm , what is now the Turnstone pub. The road is little more than a country lane , with no pavements. The old church tower can be seen.

( 1935 )

The following two pictures are taken from roughly the same place . the buildings which can be seen are the line of terraced cottages and the ruined church , still no pavements with residents having to walk in the road

( 1939 )
