( 1940 s )

This picture shows St Margarets church.and the White Hart ..The view is open farm land , unlike today .Again there are no pavements along the road

( 1960 s )

The northern part of the main road as it runs past the new post office... The only vehicle being a bus heading into the village

This is a later picture..the road is wider now.. still very little traffic. As this was the main road between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth there is a bus stop , roughly where the disused toilets are today

This picture shows the road... still no pavements with people walking next to the traffic

The road is a little busier now...

(1960)

This picture shows the original build of the school... Somerleyton Red bricks....today it is covered in render

(1960s)
